The Name Game: Mom Gives Birth to #Hashtag

I have always said that moms are creative, we know how to take something and make it extraordinary.

Then I read a story last night on PR Daily about a mom naming her daughter, ‘Hashtag’ and thought … well, that could be the beginning of a new social trend?

According to a Facebook post from last Saturday night—first spotted by The Daily Dot—a mother named her newborn daughter Hashtag, presumably after the word or statement attached to a tweet.

Here’s the Facebook update verbatim:
