Your Insanity is Power!

Loved this when I saw it on http://finsecwomen.com.au/how-to-follow-your-bliss/

‘Brand’ New Mommy!

Let’s be real – it’s not easy to live your best when reality smacks you in the face each day. Recently, I heard Pastor Miriam Niles, keynote speaker at the Girl Talk Unplugged conference say, “You insanity is your power when you give it a voice to be heard; the feelings you hide are truly what you feel.”

5 WAYS TO STAY MENTALLY HEALTHY (from ‘Brand’ New Mommy book)

•Prayer and Meditation.

•Authenticity. Be you and tell the truth.

•Stop striving for perfection, it’s doesn’t exist.

•Don’t judge. Your scale of excellence is just that, your scale.

•Love your reflection.

•Shut the crap down immediately when it enters your mind. Continue reading

Guest Post: Stuck In the Middle

Inspirational quote by Donna Bell

Stuck In the Middle
By: Kimberly Batchelor Davis

Here I am stuck in the middle of chaos, yet again. My laptop crashed –can you say disaster? Aiden, the baby won’t stop wailing. He just wails. He cries for attention, food, comfort and whatever else his little heart desires. It seems like my oldest, Miles, 4 years old wails, too. Last week literally it was bed time and they both wailed like Harpies. I just sat on the couch and cried. I wanted to walk away, but I couldn’t because I do love my children, but they are driving me up the wall. Everything came to a head because my husband said, “Go Out and have a drink. Don’t come back home.” Continue reading Kimberly’s post at Batchelor Davis and please post a motivational comment here for our ‘brand’ new mommy and contributor.

‘Brand’ Mom Motivation: A Dye Job

The power of hair color is no joke. It can make you feel empowered or simply old.

Recently I stopped coloring my hair to embrace my process of sexy and getting older; not to mention each application of gray was changing my hair texture and becoming more defiant. Perhaps, it did not want to dyed and who said that having gray hair at 46 is so bad? Continue reading

Your Health Mate…Having a Partner to Help You in Getting Healthy
Guest Post by Donna McElroy

Sometimes an unexpected diagnosis or a questionable test result may lead one to question their choice of doctor, or even health insurance provider for that matter.

So many of the illnesses we hear of that are affecting our loved ones are chronic conditions that are likely manageable, with strict adherence to a prescribed drug regiment, but not curable; or require additional testing, as well as potentially significant financial commitments and time to meet with additional health professionals. This type of news makes it very easy for anyone to become completely overwhelmed just thinking of the possibilities and outcomes, as well as totally stressed out with trying to understand how to get better while maintaining a lifestyle that isn’t upset too much by this new challenge. Do We Need To STOP Branding And Be Authentic?

As read on Oprah.com

I think how often as a PR/Branding and Mommy Expert I use the world branding when coaching a mom/client.

Too many times to count.

What I’ve come to realize  is that individuals are more concerned with “getting paid” “making it big” and simultaneously compromising self just to get ahead and score a minute of fame instead of being strategic and enjoying the fruits of their labor for an extended duration. Continue reading
