Grandma Lurlene’s Branding Tips

As I reflect on my relationship with my Grandmother, I realized she taught me a lot about branding.

Branding is simply a consistent feeling, image, and experience desired from a product conveyed to the general public. Basically, you – the person/entrepreneur – are the brand. The minute someone interfaces with you, they are deciding if they should do business with your brand based on their perception of you.

My Grandma transitioned on May 11, 2012, and her warmth stays with me each day as I welcome her guidance.

This week has been emotional because you realize that life is a gift and you are given a short period of time to really make a contribution.

Bottom Line: My Grandma has prepared me for life as a PR/Brand Expert and I celebrate her each day, minute, second, hour and moment. She has influenced my passion for life, travel, fashion, food, love, education, family, money, and my hair psychosis.

Will and Jada have been under so much speculation as it relates to the status of their marriage recently, and, the crazy tweets from their children certainly did not help the rumors. With that said, it seems that love is stronger than paparazzi haters and they are still going strong.

Thank you, Jada, for releasing the ‘Burn’ video and letting us know that through the challenges there is hope, sunshine and a rebirth.

Before Valentine’s Day, Use These 5 Tips for Financial Intimacy In Your Relationship

"No Romance without Finance"

Gwen Guthrie said it best, “No Romance without Finance,” that is the gospel as many couples decide to separate or divorce over money.

Lynnette Khalfani Cox, The Money Coach, and TBNM contributor offers real tips to SAVE our relationships and reinvent our relationship with money.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and as much as the holiday is about romance, finances also play a big role in what happens on Feb. 14th.

Guys are often under pressure to come up with the “big” gift – like an expensive engagement ring – or to make some other dramatic show of their love and affection.

And even among couples that have already tied the knot, money matters can loom large. Surveys show that most U.S. couples argue about money, and half of all couples report having separate accounts.

Faith, Love, Trust – You Can Beat It.

My sister and her miracle

I am an Auntie and so excited.

My sister, Nyla, gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl in the midst of the blizzard — welcome Annorah Rose Lee.

She beat cancer nine years ago and was told she might never be able to conceive after the chemo.

God had plans that (even) the doctors didn’t know about.

Regardless of the outcome, decision, prognosis … know that you can beat anything.

When you think you have given all you have — stop giving and turn it all over to a higher power and have faith, love, and trust.

Thanks Lady Annorah for letting us know that God’s plans are always bigger and better than mankind.

Congrats to Nyla and Garth for your blessing and helping us to remember the true meaning of faith.

Here’s to 2011!
