Salute to Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon’s Mom!

Sybrina Fulton at MSNBC PoliticsNation

Happy Thursday, BNM!

Let’s continue to keep Trayvon Martin’s parents in prayers and praise the justice system for FINALLY charging and arresting George Zimmerman.

I am inspired by the poise, love and power of BNM, Sybrina Fulton, for how she has carried Trayvon’s memory and encouraged us all to stand with her in the pursuit of justice and family.

Watch this clip as she continues to show why trust and belief in God is always #1.

Do something for the child in your life (you don’t have to be a mom) and let them know they matter.

Have a great day and let’s continue to keep the pressure on for #justice!

Why you Shouldn’t be Distracted: Trayvon Martin

Sebastian in hoodie

My son is 12 years old; he is 5’6” and wears a hoodie. I kept him close to my breast every night prior to the death of Trayvon and now (even) closer.

He is #TrayvonMartin.

I am passionate about this case because I am a HUMAN BEING, mom, Black woman and a PR Expert (20 years in the game) and know a #smear campaign on the rise when I see one. Continue reading

Carmelo Anthony

As I follow the story of Trayvon Martin, I started to think again about the word ‘suspicious’ and how many multi-millionaires from the world of sports, film and music, could also be labeled as ‘suspicious’ according to George Zimmerman.

According to Webster’s the word suspicious is defined as:

The bottom-line is everyone is at RISK and the rich and famous are not immune based upon the dress code.

BNM: Trayvon Martin is your Child!

Blessings to the family of Trayvon Martin

My heart is heavy; reading about the tragic death of young teen, Trayvon Martin has this ‘brand’ new mommy feeling blue. Take a silent moment and pray for the family and cherish your babies, they are a gift.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

As a mother of two, I worry constantly about my kids when they are not with me, and, drill to my 12 year old son that he can’t wear the young Black guy dress code without consequences– you know, hoodie, jeans, snapback cap and so forth. BNM, there are many folk like George Zimmerman, waiting to pull the trigger and take out another young brother because they look ‘suspicious.’ It’s time to get involved!

Let’s make our voices be heard and fight for all the Trayvon Martins; please sign the petition, attend the meeting organized by Sharpton’s National Action Network on Thursday, March 22, at 7pm in Cranford, Florida and keep all families in prayer.

Each day take a minute to hug and tell you child how much they are loved no matter what.

Let me know your thoughts on the death of Trayvon Martin and post a comment for his parents.
