Happy Wednesday, BNM!
I survived Hurricane Irene and happy to be back connected with electrical power, Internet, and phone.
For two days, The Bass Family had to do something unheard of … engage in REAL family time.
Let me tell you we got creative – played dress-up with Sofia, completed a treasure hunt, had real conversation in the dark, story-telling and went to sleep early.
Let me say – it was enjoyable to have downtime and enjoy the simplicity of life and being in the moment — no multi-tasking and actually getting some well-deserved rest.
Thank you, Hurricane Irene for preserving my family and teaching us how to reconnect during a crisis. Blessings to everyone and their families post Irene.

Can’t Get Enough of Will and Jada!
OMG!
Last week, I thought my fave couple was headed to splitsville and was addicted to the silly gossip blog sites. Was I alone?
Will and Jada represent the happily-ever-after in marriage and the tales girls are read to as a child.
In reality, marriage is challenging: partners grow apart, children add to the stress, careers can clash, and, the love can get lost. I admire Will and Jada for hanging in there and working together to renew and redefine their union.
