Last Friday, I was having drinks with my girlfriends at the swank Mandarin Hotel at Columbus Circle in NYC — can you say ME Time!
While sipping my trademark Bellini cocktail (champagne and peach nectar puree), my friend, Leah, decided to drop some science.
Leah said, “Men have figured out how to walk into a room, command attention, make the pitch, and walk away with the deal … simply because most men believe they are the cats meow. She proceeded to say most women walk into the room, selling herself so hard, acting prim and proper, relying on how she is smarter than everyone else, but, lacking the bravado to close the deal. Deepness!
Most women don’t use or recognize their “Kitty” Power, it’s their feminine gift, cat’s meow, kitty kat, … and it’s their sex appeal, which brings out the confidence, strength, smarts, and bravadA.
A woman with “Kitty” power knows what winning looks like and is not afraid to win without giving up any “Kitty.”
So, I asked, who has this elusive “Kitty” power/juice?
Leah said, “Michelle Obama, Meryl Streep, Beyonce, Ellen DeGeneres, Jill Scott, Heidi Klum, Sarah Palin, Malinda Williams and Viola Davis and Jada Pinkett Smith,” all have “kitty” power.
Leah continued to say, “A woman needs to walk into a room “kitty” first, show she is comfortable with her sexuality, pitch her business, and watch the men be thrown off their game expecting the unexpected. Having “Kitty” power is not giving anything up – it’s using your feminine gift that comes from between the legs.
This got me to thinking … have most moms forgotten their “kitty kat power,” after taking care of everyone all day, working a job, who the heck has time to channel “Kitty” power in Louboutin and pitch their business with sex appeal?
Here are my activities to tap into and channel my “kitty” power.
1) Sleep
2) Pole Dancing
2) Zumba
3) Sexy Dressing
4) Weight Lifting
5) Doing grown stuff … nuff said
6) Letting stuff go and simply saying, “Forget It!”
How many of you are channeling your “Kitty” power and is it working for you?
Also, please check out Brand: Mom with this week’s guest, actress Malinda Williams.

Thank you for this — yes, we need to bring out the “kitty” let me see if I can find it. LOL
Yeah!!! Go channel that kitty power!
Hi Karen,
As usually your conversations draw me right in! I felt like I has a mimosa, right along with you.
I am going to share this with my Radiant Beauties on the Fan page.
