‘Brand’ New Moms, all you can do is provide the most consistent, positive, reaffirming and empowering image of what self-love is to your children.
Each day I tell my toddler, Sofia, she is beautiful, smart, kind, powerful and a princess.
Then I thought am I over doing the princess thing and tripping her out to have unrealistic notions of romance, life, class, beauty and the world of Disney and advertising?
So, here I go questioning my daughter when she dons a particular wig thinking it’s something truly deep and then she reminds me that little girls are really simple – they want to play dress up and imagine possibilities.
